Welcome to Davis Park Elementary School!

Welcome to our school! My name is Carra Stewart, and I am honored to serve as the principal of Davis Park Elementary and to be part of this incredible community.

Education has been my passion since I was a third-grade student helping my foster brother learn to read. From that moment on, I knew that supporting the growth and success of children was more than a career path; it was my calling.

I began my career as an elementary teacher in Gary, Indiana, where I discovered the joy and privilege of helping young learners build confidence, curiosity, and a love for learning. Since 2017, I have proudly called Terre Haute home. This community has poured into me, invested in me as an educator and individual, and helped shape the leader I am today. I am grateful for the opportunity to give back by serving the students, families, and staff of this school.

My goal is to create a school where every child feels valued, challenged, and supported; every teacher is empowered to do their best work; and every family feels welcomed as an essential partner in their child's education. I believe that when we work together with trust and compassion we create opportunities for everyone to thrive.

It is my desire to support our students, teachers, and families so that we not only grow individually but also collectively as a school community. Together, we will celebrate successes, learn from challenges, and ensure that every student has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
